Wesley Dennis Moon returned home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, November 16, 2009.

Wes was born on February 10, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to Barbara I. (Holt) and Carl W. Moon. Wes was raised in Farmington, Utah and attended Davis High School. He graduated in 1966 and went on to pursue his education at Weber State College.

Was served and retired in the Utah National Guard, 19th Special Forces, Signal Company at Camp Williams for 23 years, where he was a Green Beret and a communications specialist. Wes had many wonderful friends and associates in the National Guard. He loved his country and served with great pride and honor.

Wes was employed by Millcreek Gardens for nine years, where he developed a great passion and love for golf course construction. Wes founded Pineridge Landscape Associates, and successfully contributed to the golf course industry in Utah. Wes was employed by Palmer Course Design for 15 years. He was considered one of the finest shapers in the golf industry. Some of the golf courses that Wes contributed to in Utah are East Bay, Birch Creek, Eagle Mountain, Davis Park, Valley View and Mount Ogden. He also built and designed golf courses in Italy (Golf Club Le Pavoniere), the Philippines (Orchard Golf and Country Club, The Legacy), South Korea (Muju Resort), Taiwan (Formosa First and Formosa Yangmei Country Clubs), Costa Rica (Four Season Resort at Peninsula Papagayo), Nevada (The Oasis), Virginia (Bay Creek Golf Club), Florida (Bay Hill, Charger Course) as well as many others. He traveled the world and had a great love for nature and the outdoors.
