Joined the US Navy right after High School, Attended US Naval Boot Camp at Great Lakes Illinois. 1st Duty assignment was Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station Chery Point North Carolina. Then assigned to USS Ranger out of the West coast. Deployed three times to South China Sea during the Viet Nam War. Discharged 1969. Joined the US Army National Guard. Total Military time 17 years. Worked Hill Air Force Base during this same time period as a firefighter, received several promotions ending as the Deputy Fire Chief. Worked in the Missile Directorate as a program Manager, then to Aircraft Trainer Directorate and finally to the Aircraft Simulator Directorate as a Program Manager and Division Chief. Retired in 2005 with 38 1/2 years total combined service.
School Story

After High School went to military. Married Coralee Hodge in 1973. Still married 47 years

Hey all golfers, I was looking forward to playing golf with all all of the pros. However since I have had 9 surgeries on my hips, 52 surgeries total in my life, the last one was 4 June, then about a week after that, I suffered a hip dislocation on the recent operated hip. Let me tell you that was not fun, so back to the hospital for them to get it back into the right space, not a fun time, however they did put me to sleep long enough to get it back in. Now I am in a long brace for a minimum of 6-8 weeks, hoping it wont go out again. Dont know at this time if I will be able to play golf again. That is a real bummer. So Don, Gary, Tad, Steve and all the others who I got to play golf with at the Bluff and Round Valley, thanks for letting me join you guys. If I ever get to play again I will call you and find out when the next T-time is.
I want to thank Carolyn for helping me figure out the computer system so I could see what is happening.

Did not remember Vicki from school, but I do know her from association in the AIr Force Association activities. She is such a great person and loves to golf with her animals in the bag.
