WEST HAVEN - Husband, dad, grandpa, great friend and a great mechanic is how Patrick E. Freeland will be forever remembered. On July 30, 2017, after a short battle with leukemia, Pat passed away peacefully, at the age of 69, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on February 15, 1948, to Kenneth and Lucille Freeland, raised in Layton, Utah. He graduated from Davis High School and served in the Utah National Guard.

He married Ann Schmidt in November, 1969. They were married for 25 years and divorced in 1994. Together they raised three beautiful children: Michelle (Brian) Winn, Jennifer (Brett) Barrow, and Brad Freeland. As a family they enjoyed camping and riding horses at Northfork and the Uintahs. He instilled a love of horses and the sport of rodeo into his children's lives.

He married Donnette Morgan and later divorced but they remained companions and loved spending time and traveling together.

He was a dad to three step children: Nichole Hennefer, Derrick (Audene) Hamblin, Tyler (Brenda) Hamblin. Pats traditional values of hard work and determination to get the job done is continually being passed down through to his 14 grandchildren. He loved the western way of life and watching his children carry on the tradition of rodeo to their own families. He was known for always being an outdoor enthusiast camping, raising livestock, hitting the dirt roads on his four-wheelers and finding treasures.
