Vickie Child McCall

Wow, hard to believe it's been 50 years! Can't wait to see everyone in August.
I've been living in Ogden for the past 45 years. My husband (Ron McCall, a Clearfield High graduate) and I have just about retired from our real estate careers. It keeps us young. My sideline passions have focused on national defense issues and the US military. I founded and chaired the committee to save Hill AFB during the last two base closure rounds; was appointed by the Secretary of Defense to Chair the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services; and have served as an Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force for the last 12 years. I'm also a principle consultant with Jim Hansen and Associates. Lots of travel, a few hair-raising experiences to include being in the Pentagon on 9-11 and even a run for Congress.
Most recently I was honored to receive an Honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Weber State University.
Life has been good to me and I'm blessed to have shared the journey with a loving family.

I remember the Halloween spook alley in the old girls gym, the day we took State in football, debate tournaments, dark brown Pro Schola uniforms, our mascot--George, a State Forensic Meet, tator tots at the Dairy Queen ...and lots of good friends.
